Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is sharing her thoughts on plastic surgery and opening up on how it has negatively impacted her life.
Jamie is hoping people will think twice before tweaking their appearance just to suit the current aesthetic fads.
During a recent interview with Fast Company, when asked about her industry beauty standards, Jamie said, “I tried plastic surgery and it didn’t work. It got me addicted to Vicodin. I’m 22 years sober now”. Jamie went on to say that, “the current trend of fillers and procedures and this obsession with filtering and the things that we do to adjust our appearance on zoom are wiping out generations of beauty, Once you mess with your face, you cant get it back”.
Jamie also stated that this is a real danger to young people because of the influence that social media has on them due to all the comparisons to other people and that the mental, spiritual and physical effect is sometimes lasting.
