Jamaicans who are on the priority list for the COVID-19 vaccine, will likely be given the AstraZeneca jab come April.
This as Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton said the jab which is 70.4 percent effective, will likely be most available through the COVAX facility.
The government joined the COVAX facility, as part of its strategic approach, to access safe vaccines.
Dr. Tufton said the distribution of the vaccine is pending emergency use listing, from the World Health Organization WHO.
