Last night, a few Jamaican artistes were featured on a special BET Awards edition of DJ Cassidy’s ‘Pass The Mic’.
The performance lineup included artistes such as R&B singers Ashanti and Mya, rappers Fat Joe, Fabolous, Nelly and Kelis and of course our very own, Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder and Sean Paul.
“Pass the Mic” started last year during the 2020 lockdown as a way to honour everyday heroes around the world. Cassidy united over 100 legendary musicians to sing along to their most iconic records, passing the mic from home to home.
After the first three episodes garnered millions of views, Cassidy partnered with BET for an epic prime-time “Pass the Mic” special, now he has partnered with BET for a series of six primetime “Pass the Mic” specials to air throughout 2021.
