A call is being made for persons who are experiencing flu-like symptoms to get tested for COVID-19.
Opposition Spokesperson on Health, Dr. Morais Guy says it is expected that persons will contract the flu at this time since it is the winter season.
He warns, however, that with the country still fighting against COVID-19, Jamaicans should get tested if they are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
Dr. Guy stresses that it is important to get tested for COVID-19, especially since symptoms of the Omicron variant are similar to that of the flu.
