Jamaican-Born Jelanie Morgan Eyes Spot on National Men’s Basketball Team

Jamaican born Jelanie Morgan, who represents Lesley University in the United States, is currently in the island trying to make the national men's basketball team.

Morgan, who is from the Morgan Heritage family, is among a number of college and professional players who are aiming to get into the Jamaican squad, for the upcoming FIBA America's men's World Cup Qualifiers, set for August in Mexico.

The shooting guard played 26 times for Lesley University, in the NCAA Competition, totalling 225 minutes, while compiling 35 points.

Jamaica's road to the FIBA World Cub will begin with an eight day training camp in Miami, scheduled for July 29, to August 5.
