In a few hours, the greatest Caribbean and North American artistes charge the stage in the name of Jamaica.
Artistes have already converged on New York City, anticipating the Jamaica Strong Concert which happens at 9:00pm tonight at the UBS Arena.
The Line-up includes Shaggy, Sean Paul, Kes, Marcia Griffiths, Inner Circle, Maxi Priest, Kimani Marley, Gramps Morgan, T.O.K., Tessanne Chin, Mikey Spice, Richie Stephens, Aidonia, Teejay, Demarco, I-Octane, Abby Dallas, Aiesha Barrett, Kevin Downswell & others
In a statement, diamond selling dancehall artiste, Orville ‘Shaggy’ Burrell continues to laud fellow artistes, musicians and entertainers who have been on the ground in Jamaica, doing the work long before the cameras arrived.
Shaggy also praised international artists—friends of Jamaica and lovers of its culture—who’ve stepped forward in support.
Endorsed by the Government of Jamaica through the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the landmark benefit concert brings together the full force of Jamaica’s culture, diaspora, and global creative community to raise funds for relief and rebuilding efforts across the island hardest-hit parishes.
All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Hurricane Melissa Relief and Recovery in Jamaica.
