Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent secured gold in the women’s 100 meter hurdles at the World Under 20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya.

She won the race in a time of 12.95 seconds.

In the male 110 meter hurdles Vashaun Vascianna was second to France’s Sasha Zhoya, who won in a world record time of 12.72 seconds.

Jamaica now has 4 medals at the championships: 2 gold, 1 silver and a bronze
