It's KFC Day, and what seems like the entirety of Jamaica turned out at their nearest KFC to take advantage of the establishment's Brawta deal, part of their 50th-anniversary celebrations.
Large crowds reportedly gathered at KFC locations in hopes of cashing in on the meal deal, which offers two pieces of chicken, small fries, and a Pepsi. However, the high demand led to long lines, flaring tempers and eventually required the intervention of law enforcement at least one location to manage the situation.
According to the local reports, police were reportedly called to at least one location to help restore calm and ensure customer safety. Footage from KFC locations island wide has since gone viral, showing the scale of the crowd.
The large crowds at KFC have also prompted other fast-food establishments to get in on the social media action. Even the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) entered the chat with a creative, yet informative IG post highlighting that fighting crime is a "Big Deal"... you get it?
Despite the hiccups, the Brawta promotion continues island wide while supplies last.
