The Government of Jamaica has launched the second phase of the GO Road Rehab Programme, a $1.4 billion effort to repair key main roads across the island.

Works will target heavily trafficked corridors vital to transport, commerce, tourism, and emergency access, amid ongoing damage from heavy rains and Hurricane Melissa.

Works Minister Robert Nesta Morgan said the programme responds directly to public concerns over deteriorating road conditions.

The National Works Agency will lead implementation, focusing on patching, resurfacing, and drainage improvements.
