JAMAICA HAS RECEIVED ANOTHER SHIPMENT OF COVID-19 VACCINES

Jamaica has received another shipment of Covid-19 vaccines.

The 201,600 doses arrived in the island this morning (Tues).

The Health Ministry says 100,800 doses of the Astrazeneca arrived from Canada through the Covax facility, while the remaining doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccines arrived from the African medical supplies platform.

To date some 647,687 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the country.

According to the Health Ministry’s Covid-19 vaccination tracker, 471,072 were first doses, 161,831 second doses, while 14,784 were single doses.
