Jamaica and Panama Move to Strengthen Regional Tourism

Share

Jamaica and Panama are working to strengthen tourism ties by making it easier for visitors to travel between countries in the region.

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett says both countries are looking at expanding their Multi-Destination Tourism Agreement, improving air travel and exploring a common visa system to encourage more regional tourism.

The discussions also included increasing flights between Kingston, Montego Bay and Panama City, as well as sharing Jamaica's experience in tourism management and training tourism workers.

Both countries say they remain committed to building a stronger, more resilient tourism industry that supports sustainable growth across the Caribbean and Central America.
