Reggae artist Jah Cure, known for hits like Love Is, is set to appear before an investigative judge on November 12 in the Netherlands, where he is currently serving a six-year sentence for attempted manslaughter.
This appearance is part of a series of pro forma hearings, which are mandatory under Dutch law every 90 days to reassess the detention of individuals awaiting trial or sentencing review.
Dutch prosecutors are reportedly attempting to overturn his prior acquittal on a more severe attempted murder charge.
Jah Cure, whose legal name is Siccature Alcock, was convicted in March 2022 following a 2021 altercation in which he stabbed a Dutch concert promoter over unpaid performance fees.
His most recent court appearance took place on August 21.
