Reggae artist Jah Cure, who was convicted of attempted manslaughter two years ago, will be returning to the Dutch courts in August.

According to reports, Dutch prosecutors are moving forward with their appeal against the “Prison Walls” singer’s attempted murder charge.

In 2022, Jah Cure was convicted of attempted manslaughter and sentenced to six years in prison for stabbing a concert promoter over unpaid performance fees in the Netherlands.

The trial judge ruled that Cure’s actions were not premeditated. He has been remanded since January, awaiting a new trial.
