10 months after the release of the official audio on YouTube, Jamaican artist Jada Kingdom finally announced the release date for the official music video for her single ‘Banana’.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Jada uploaded a small piece of the video with the caption’ “Out June 14. After all these years”. Instantly, fans commented how they have been waiting on the visuals for the track and new music from her.

“yess finally && some new tune too please ??? Mi ears drum a bwal out”

“Really wanna hear new music ?”

“the countdown begins”

In September, ‘Banana’ received heavy rotation, and created an impact on social media where there was an Instagram challenge for persons to upload their own remix to the track. The winner of the challenge, ‘Stalk Ashley’, got the opportunity to collaborate with Jada on their 2018 single ‘Wasteman’.

According to Jada’s official YouTube VEVO channel, Jada has only released 9 tracks plus a collaboration with Govana since her 2017 single ‘Love Situations’ and this is the first time Jada took so long to release visuals.

For Jada Kingdom’s previous music video releases, the time span ranges between 1 and 2 months.

She has had quick releases of music videos for her singles ‘Love Situations’, ‘Unwanted’, ‘Wul On’ and ‘Best You Ever Had’.

Her single ‘Medicine’ is the only other track that was released two months prior to the release of its accompanying visuals.

The official audio was released in December and the music video was released in March. So, you could understand why 10 months of waiting for a Jada Kingdom music video is strange to her fans.

Jada Kingdom’s Banana single was released on July 26, 2018. So Ziptocrats, do you think the music video will still be relevant today?
