The Electoral Office of Jamaica Jamaica, EOJ, says all systems are in place to receive nominations of Candidates for the east Portland by-election.
Nomination is scheduled to take place this Friday March 15 from 10am to 2pm at the Port Antonio Courthouse. Damion Crawford has been selected by the Peoples National Party, PNP, to contest the by-election.
He is expected to go up against the Jamaica Labour Party’s Ann Marie Vaz in the election set for April 4.
The east Portland seat became vacant after the murder of the sitting PNP MP Dr. Lynvale Bloomfield last month.
