As the world continues to mourn the loss of one of the greatest Basketball players of all-time, Kobe Bryant, persons in Italy have decided to mourn Kobe for a full week.
Kobe, who grew up in Italy as a child, is highly respected and love in the country. Every professional team in all levels of basketball will pay homage to former Lakers star, with a moment of silence in every game for seven days.
President of the Italian Basketball Federation, Giovanni Petrucci, told CNN,
“We are shocked and saddened by what happened to him and his daughter Gianna and we hold his whole family close to our hearts in this moment of sorrow”.
An update into what may have caused the helicopter to descend so suddenly and crash, has yet to be confirmed. According to reports, this specific helicopter did not have a black-box.
A black-box is a vital piece of evidence that records everything an aircraft does up until the moment of a crash, including evidence that can suggest what had led to the accident.
It is said that this type of helicopter did not require a black box because it had an iPad that would aid the pilot with weather updates and alerts.
