Is the comet no longer coming? Where is Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel’s new album?
This question derives from the lack of information about the album ever since it was first announced last year.
In October 2018, Vybz Kartel announced the name of his project ‘Exiled Pharaoh’ on Instagram. He uploaded a photo collage of himself beside an Egyptian statue and captioned the photo, “#exiledpharaoh #thealbum #soon”
It was first mentioned by Jamaican producer TJ Records in September when TJ uploaded a cover art to tease the coming of the album.
So, what’s happening with the album?
There has been no update about the album from neither TJ Records nor Vybz Kartel since then. The only thing that has been happening is that the artist has been leaving Instagram hashtags on some of his posts.
Vybz Kartel has been releasing new singles such as ‘Deh So It Deh’, ‘Dem No Ready’, ‘Any Weather’ and many more. The artist has even done work with members of the ‘6ix Is Real’ movement and his son, Likkle Vybz.
