After seven years of waiting, fans can rest! The Bronx rapper has announced her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?
Earlier today (June 23), Cardi took to her Instagram to drop a post revealing the cover art of the project. The post captioned “AM I THE DRAMA? My new album is out September 19th! Preorder LINK IN BIO.”
Fans had a feeling something was coming when last night, the "Bodak Yellow" artiste posted a dramatic video reflecting on her journey. “Seven years and the time has come,” she said. “I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma.”
The 32-year-old’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, made history when it earned her a Grammy for Best Rap Album, producing two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s, and going platinum on every track. Since then, she’s added three more No. 1s to her name, and now she’s ready to raise the bar again.
The new album follows the release of her latest single, “Outside”, which dropped on June 19. Fans can also expect chart-toppers like “Up” and “WAP” to appear on the 23-track project.
