Ireland Beat Windies Women By 1 In Tri-nation Series

Share

Host Ireland women defeated West Indies women by 1 run via the Duckworth Lewis method in the 4th match of the tri-nation cricket series in Dublin today.

Ireland, chasing 142 runs to win from their allotted 20 overs reached 99-5 from 14.1 overs when rain ended the game.

The teams didn't reappear due to the inclement weather conditions as the home side were declared winners, helped by a brilliant 71 not out from 46 deliveries from captain Orla Prendergast.

It marks Ireland's first win over the West Indies in Women's T20Is, who now join today's visitors at the top of the standings, a series which also features Pakistan.
