INVESTIGATION INTO RECENT DEATHS OF CHILDREN ONGOING

The Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF is to submit a file relating to the investigation into the death of an 18 month old child in St. Elizabeth last month, to the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP.

Reports are that the child, who was the daughter of two police officers died after being left alone in her father’s car for hours.

Responding to reporters during a press briefing yesterday, Head of the Crime and Security Portfolio, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey said investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Meantime, he said the investigation into the murder of a nine year old boy in Irwin St. James last month also continues.

Gabriel King, was found in the back of his mother’s vehicle with his throat slashed, after she was pushed from the vehicle which was allegedly driven away by criminals.
