Increase In Rainfall Expected Over the Next Two Days

The island has started to experience an increase in rainfall.
The Met Office explains that a slow-moving tropical wave that has been impacting weather across Hispaniola is to move across Jamaica today into tomorrow, and is forecast to influence weather conditions over the island during this period.
Consequently, projections are for cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to affect sections of most parishes, especially southern and northeastern parishes, beginning this morning through to Wednesday evening.
Fishers and other marine interests, especially those inshore and offshore the south coast, should exercise extreme caution, as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
