IMC Day 2- Spinning Negative Publicity & Staying On Brand

Share

In the age of cancel culture, knowing how to handle negative publicity is especially relevant for artistes trying to make it today. To educate young musicians, the International Music Conference kicked off day two of their six-day conference with the panel, 'Spinning Negative Publicity & Staying On Brand.'

The discussion featured top celebrity publicists and brand strategists, including Darwin Guard, Chrislyn Lashington, Tifanny Mea, and IMC co-founder Judith Bodley. They discussed in simple terms the importance of artises taking charge of their messaging, how to craft their brand story while navigating the media and not working against it. The insightful discussion also touched on the impact of cancel culture and how artistes can stay ahead of the game.
Speaking with the Zee, Judith Bodley highlighted the significance of this panel (and the IMC in general) to up-and-coming artistes, especially those seeking insight into managing their image and reputation in a fast-paced digital world.
The day continued with a session on New Media, featuring podcaster Jaii Fraiss, and will wrap with the Island Vibe showcase at 7:30 pm.
