The Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport has raised an estimated $200 million from its ‘I Love Jamaica’ concert series, aimed at supporting the country’s recovery efforts, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa in October 2025.

The concert series include events held in Jamaica and at venues overseas, supported by international artistes and the country’s reggae and dancehall music fraternity.

Speaking at the official launch for Reggae Month on Wednesday in Kingston, portfolio Minister, Olivia Grange informed that the funds raised so far, are being “deposited directly to the Support Jamaica account”.

She went on to commend the Jamaican music industry for acting as “first responders”, following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, using their talents to uplift the nation.

She noted that a special message of hope is being extended to western Jamaica, with Reggae Month activities set to commence on February 1.

The schedule of activities for Reggae Month 2026 is available on the Reggae Jamaica App.
