Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has died at age 71 after suffering cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida, home early this morning (July 24).
Paramedics performed CPR before rushing him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 AM. Police found no signs of foul play.
Born Terry Gene Bollea, Hogan became a global superstar in the 1980s, launching "Hulkamania" after winning the WWE title in 1984.
He later reinvented himself as "Hollywood Hogan" with the New World Order (NWO) and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice.
Despite a scandal involving racist remarks that damaged his reputation in 2015, Hogan remains one of the most influential figures in wrestling history.
In a statement the WWE said, “Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition.
We extend our condolences to his family, friends, and fans.”
