It's been a few weeks since Grammy-nominated reggae singer Jesse Royal announced his “passion project”, the High Life Festival. The official lineup has now been announced.
The music festival will take place just in time for the 4/20 holiday at the Kaya Kingston, renamed the High Life Lawns. A variety of dancehall and reggae artistes, including Big Youth, Jashii, Joby Jay, Jah9, Iotosh, RasI, Dyani, and Jesse Royal himself, will rock the event.
Royal unveiled the list of performers in a series of artist flyers collab posted by his and the festival’s pages. The caption read, “This one is for the culture. Reggae Wi Seh!!! High Life Festival is going to be a Celebration…Incredibly excited to share the stage with Icons, visionaries and just some amazing talent”
Even with the hard-hitting list of announced entertainers, the caption on the post promises “a whole lotta very special guests”.
