The Heart Institute of the Caribbean HIC, is the latest addition to the sponsorship of the upcoming Jamaica Premier League, coming in with a $14M tag.
The partnership will provide cardiovascular screening to some 407 footballers, coaches and managers, from the 12 teams in the league, for the 2021 season, which is scheduled to get underway later this month.
Screening will be done on an ongoing basis, throughout the season, under the ambit of HIC Foundation Play Smart Programme, that is designed to screen and detect underlying cardiovascular diseases, that could be potentially catastrophic for players if undetected.
