Founder of Hear the Children’s Cry, Betty Ann Blaine is calling on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to denounce abuse of the country’s children.
This follows the circulation of a video on social media, showing two young girls dancing to a song by a local dancehall artiste.
An investigation has been launched into the matter.
According to Miss Blaine, the video appears to have been recorded by an adult, and as such the prime minister should send a strong message that these acts are both illegal and intolerable.
She stressed that efforts must be intensified to protect the nation’s children from adult rated content.
Miss Blaine is also urging those in the music industry to consider the children, in the production of their content.
