The Ministry of Health and Wellness is urging the public to avoid travel to countries affected by the Ebola outbreak.
The advisory follows the World Health Organization’s declaration of Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda as a global health emergency.
Jamaica has strengthened health surveillance at ports of entry and introduced monitoring for recent travellers from affected areas.
The ministry also urged the public to rely on official sources for updates and health guidance.
