Senior Strategist in the Ministry of Tourism, Delano Seiveright, says the tourism ministry fully supports the actions of the health authorities to deny access to the Meraviglia vessel earlier today.
Mr. Seiveright notes that the ministry has been in contact with health officials and understands the need to be cautious to avoid health risks.
He explains that there are several concerns regarding the spread of the corona virus at this time, while noting that it has already started to impact cruise bookings.
Mr. Seiveright adds that the ministry continues to monitor the situation on a daily basis.
