Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says Jamaica's healthcare system has improved over the past decade, with more hospital beds, doctors, nurses, diagnostic equipment and free medication.
Speaking in an interview with The Desirable Truth podcast, he says there is still room for improvement and believes every Jamaican has a role to play in protecting their own health.
Minister. Tufton also urged healthcare workers to show greater empathy, saying quality care is not only about medical treatment but also how patients are treated during difficult times.
