Hansle Parchment Among Stand-Out Jamaican Athletes Listed To Compete In Kingston Leg Of GST

Former Olympic champion Hansle Parchment is among a group of marquee Jamaican athletes unveiled as GST Challengers for the opening leg of the inaugural Grand Slam Track season which takes place in Kingston.

Set to be held at the National Stadium from April 4 to 6, the event was launched in 2024 by the legendary four-time Olympic champion Michael Johnson and promises to deliver thrilling performances from some of the sport’s top challengers.

As well as Parchment, the Tokyo Olympic 110m hurdles champion, the Jamaican contingent also features Danielle Williams, the reigning world champion in the 100m hurdles from the 2023 Budapest World Championships.

The group also includes Alana Reid, the World Under-20 100m champion, national 400m hurdles champion Malik James-King, Olympic 400m hurdles finalist Shiann Salmon, and Olympic 110m hurdles finalist Orlando Bennett.
