Halle Berry’s Daughter Defends Her Mother

Halle Berry’s daughter, Nahla Aubry, is defending her mother amid abuse allegations made by Berry’s ex-husband, Olivier Martinez.
In a court declaration reviewed by People, the 18-year-old said she has never witnessed Berry abuse her children and described her as a “loving and devoted parent.”
“I have never seen my mom hit, slap, choke, grab, or physically abuse Maceo in any way,” Nahla said, referring to her 13-year-old brother. She also said Berry has consistently provided her children with support and stability.
Nahla said she was “shocked, very sad, and very upset” when she learned of Martinez’s allegations. She also expressed concern about how the case could affect Maceo and his relationship with their mother.
Martinez is seeking sole custody of Maceo and has alleged that Berry physically abused him in September.
Berry has denied the allegations through her attorney.
A temporary restraining order was granted, while Berry continues to have visitation rights.
Berry and Martinez finalized their divorce in 2015 and have since been involved in ongoing custody matters involving their son.
