Gypsy Rose Blanchard is expressing heartbreak following the sudden death of her partner and father of her child, Ken Urker.
Urker was found dead on Thursday, October 1, at a residence in Raceland, Louisiana. The incident occurred on his 34th birthday.
Deputies with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence to perform a wellness check after Urker failed to show up for work. Law enforcement authorities confirmed that an official death investigation remains ongoing, though initial findings showed no immediate signs of foul play.
Speaking out after the news broke, Blanchard described herself as being in complete disbelief. She pointed to the immense public scrutiny and persistent online harassment Urker faced throughout their high-profile relationship as a significant factor affecting his mental well-being.
The couple, who rekindled their relationship following Blanchard’s release from prison in late 2023, welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina, in December 2024.
An official cause of death has not yet been released by medical examiners as toxicology and investigative reports remain pending.
