Transport Minister, Robert Montague, has indicated that several new measures, including video surveillance, will be implemented to curb the behavior of unruly drivers on the nation’s roadways.

He said, following a decision by the cabinet, the video surveillance system will be used to nab persons who disobey the road code.

The Minister also disclosed that an online reporting system will soon be set up for members of the public to post photos and videos.

These he said, will aid the transport authority, in being aware of public passenger vehicle operators who defy regulations, so that appropriate action can be taken.

The Minister said, the transport authority will be conducting training programmes for PPV drivers, so that more persons can be equipped for the task, and properly qualify for their badges.
