A new hospital policy will see visitations being cut back to only one person per day.

This is among a raft of measures being implemented by the government, in its bid to curtail the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19.

At a press briefing last evening (Mon), Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the normal practice of several family members going to check on sick relatives twice a day, will no longer be allowed.

Another measure is the restriction on public gatherings, with no more than 20 people allowed to meet in a space.

This limit on large gatherings will also apply to funerals and weddings.

Mr. Holness also urged religious persons to worship at home instead of gathering at church.
