GOVERNMENT EXTENDS COVID-19 CONTAINMENT MEASURES FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS

The government has extended the Covid-19 containment measures for another 2 weeks.

The current measures were due to end on Friday, January 14.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness told Parliament yesterday (Tues), that the measures will run until January 28.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Andrew Holness has reiterated that steps are being taken to ensure that government departments and agencies continue to function, amid the challenges of the Covid pandemic.

These include, ensuring that people take personal responsibility for their own health and safety.

It also includes putting measures in place to facilitate public sector workers adherence to Covid testing and vaccination requirements.

Mr. Holness reiterated that Jamaicans must learn to live with Covid.
