Global oil supplies are expected to face twice the disruption this month compared with March, the International Energy Agency warned, highlighting the urgency of resolving the Iran conflict.
U.S. President Donald Trump said the war could end within weeks, even without a deal, while escalating threats to leave NATO if Europe does not help secure the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump called NATO a “paper tiger” and emphasized Washington’s shifting stance on the conflict, which has killed thousands and disrupted energy markets.
He added that Iran does not need to strike a deal for the U.S. to wind down “Operation Epic Fury.”
