A major investigation has been launched into the murder of a nine-year-old child at her home on Job Lane, Spanish Town in St. Catherine on Friday, May 9.
A person of interest has been listed following the incident.
Dead is Kelsey Ferrigon of Job Lane, St. Catherine.
Kelsey‟s partially naked body was discovered about 8:00 p.m. upside down in a barrel at her home. Her body appeared to have been beaten and investigators theorize that she was sexually assaulted.
Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) immediately launched an investigation and a person of interest has been identified in the incident. He is Giovanni Ellis, otherwise called "Coolie Man‟.
Giovannie Ellis is urged to report to the Spanish Town Police immediately.
Head of the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Wayne Josephs, said the police are leaving no stones unturned in their investigations.
