The annual Ghetto Splash concert would have been staged tonight. However, the passing of hurricane Melissa on October 28, affected the event's planning & execution, as it struggled to secure sponsorships.
Ghetto Splash, held annually at the Waterhouse mini-stadium in Kingston, is usually free to the public and would feature several f the country's dancehall artistes.
Promoter, Patrick Roberts tells us more.
Roberts says the event's cancellation will have an effect on community members who benefited from the event's year to year staging.
However, he promises that Ghetto Splash will return bigger and better in 2026.
