A team of officers assigned to the Portland Police Division seized 950 pounds of ganja during an operation in Norwich, Portland yesterday.
Reports from the Port Antonio Police are that about 1:00 p.m., lawmen were in the area when a premises was searched and fifteen bags containing 950 pounds of ganja was seen inside a one bedroom board dwelling.
The drug was subsequently seized and has an estimated street value of JMD 4.7 million.
No one was arrested in relation to this seizure.
Investigations continue.
