The official funeral for reggae icon Jimmy Cliff, who passed away on November 24, is set for Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
Culture Minister Olivia “Babsy” Grange shared the update, noting that the Office of the Prime Minister, the Culture Ministry, and Cliff’s family are finalizing arrangements.
Grange said the service will give Jamaicans a chance to honor “an outstanding son of Jamaica” and will include spoken word, dance, and music, which are elements Cliff specifically requested.
The legendary singer and actor, celebrated for his role in the globally acclaimed film “The Harder They Come,” was 81 years old.
