Local selector and social media sensation Oniel “Foota Hype” Thomas is expected to appear before an immigration judge on Monday, following his detainment by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Saturday after leaving the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise in Florida.
Though the reason for his detainment is yet to be confirmed, reports state that Foota was detained for further review of his travel documents and admissibility status.
Jamaican Ambassador to the US in a newspaper report said that the consulate in Miami is in communication with the detention Center and will be visiting him today and will provide further updates.
Fans have since expressed concern for the social-media-selector, whose four-day silence on Instagram may have left followers worried.
