Veteran Recording Artiste Flourgon is the recipient of a BPI-certified platinum disc for "We Can't Stop" performed by Miley Cyrus; the same song for which he filed a successful $300m lawsuit for copyright infringement in relation to his 1988 released "We Run Things" single.
At the recently held Excellence in Music Ceremony wards, which recognised both celebrated recording artistes and important contributors, Flourgon said despite how difficult it was to secure victory, his moment opened doors for many others to receive compensation for their work .
Flourgon who rose to prominence in the 80s, shared encouraging words to younger artistes in the entertainment business.
