The Meteorological Service has Issued a Flash Flood Warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas of all parishes, effective until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow (Sun).
A Trough, induced by Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine, which is currently across the northern Caribbean, including Jamaica, is producing moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.
The forecast is for mostly cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms to continue across the island through to Sunday evening.
The Met Service says due to the periods of rainfall since Thursday, the ground is saturated, and as a result, flooding and landslides are likely to occur across most parishes.
Additionally, fishers on the Cays and Banks, are urged to exercise extreme caution as sea conditions will continue to deteriorate in the vicinity of showers, thunderstorms and strong winds.
