Five Haitians Arrested in Manchester Raid Face Deportation

Five Haitian nationals arrested during a raid at a residence in Spring Ground, Christiana, Manchester, on Sunday are set to be deported back to their home country.

This decision was reached during their court appearance at the Manchester Parish Court yesterday (Fri).

The group, consisting of four men and one woman, who is reportedly pregnant, faced charges of illegal entry.

Detective Sergeant Dwayne Card from the Manchester division confirmed that the individuals pleaded guilty.

Each was fined $6,000 JMD or sentenced to serve 14 days in prison.

Currently, they are being held while awaiting a deportation order from the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA).
