The St. James Police seized a firearm in Adelphi in the parish yesterday.
Reports are that about 10:30 p.m., lawmen were on patrol in the community along the Adelphi main road when they were approached by citizens who handed over one Single Action Browning Pistol to the police team.
One male was taken into custody in connection with the seizure, however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
