An electrical fire destroyed a section of the of the administrative building at the May Pen Hospital in Clarendon.
Priliminary reports indicate that the fire broke on a recently installed solar panel on the roof.
There were no reports of injury as hospital personnel were quickly evacuated and the fire department called.
The blaze has since been extinguished.
