Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke has officially announced his resignation.
Dr. Clarke, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for North West St. Andrew, shared the news at a Jamaica Labour Party conference held in his constituency last evening.
In August, it was revealed that Dr. Clarke would assume the role of Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), effective Thursday, October 31.
Speaking to JLP supporters, he stated that his resignation would come into effect at midnight.
