Today marks 30 years since the passing of Reggae icon Garnett Silk, and industry figures such as Tony Rebel and producer Jazzwad are among those paying tribute to the legendary singer.
Garnett Silk’s promising career was cut short on December 9, 1994, at just 28 years old, when a propane cylinder exploded at his mother’s home in Manchester.
Tragically, his mother also perished in the blaze.
Silk’s legacy lives on through timeless hits such as Zion In A Vision, It’s Growing, Mama Africa, Lion Heart, Love Is The Answer, Kingly Character, and With Your Mercy.
