Everton FC boosted their European hopes with a 2-0 home win over Burnley FC, their first Premier League victory at Goodison Park in nearly three months.

James Tarkowski opened the scoring with a header in the 32nd minute, followed by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s close-range goal on the hour mark.

The win moves Everton within a point of seventh-placed Brentford, while Burnley remain eight points from safety with nine games left.

Everton dominated after halftime, creating multiple chances, with Idrissa Gueye nearly adding a third late on.
